21 Questions for 2021

As we enter the new year, you have been likely thinking about setting some goals, intentions or hopes for the year ahead (this will likely includes thoughts along the lines of "well it can't be as bad as 2021 - and believe me, I hear ya!)

Giving ourselves some thinking time as we greet January is a great thing - it allows us to leave behind things that are weighing on us, explore new opportunities and ultimately embrace the New Year with decent amount of ooompf - yes, we use very technical language around here!

So here are 21 coaching questions that might challenge your thinking, help you prioritise your goals and really give yourself a sense of direction, purpose and clarity for 2021. Grab cuppa, a notebook, your tablet (or whatever note taking device tickles your pickle) and think about your answers to these:

  1. What was I most grateful for in 2020?

  2. What do I want to leave behind in 2020?

  3. What do I want to keep with me from 2020?

  4. What does success look like for me in 2021?

  5. How will I know if I have achieved this success?

  6. What checks can I put in place this year, to see if I am on track?

  7. Who do I want to prioritise this year?

  8. How will I let them know they are a priority?

  9. What makes me anxious about this year and where is the anxiety coming from?

  10. What would help me change anxiety into excitement?

  11. Who will I reach out to if I need support this year?

  12. What do I want more of?

  13. What do I want to do this year that I've never tried before?

  14. How can I challenge myself in 2021?

  15. What do I want to learn this year?

  16. What do I want to be different one year from now?

  17. What will my mantra be for 2021?

  18. What is one thing I will stop saying to myself?

  19. What's one thing I can do today that will start me on the right track?

  20. How do I want to feel this year?

  21. If I was granted one wish this year, what would it be?

I hope these questions will give you some pause for thought and you find them useful.
